Class Cephalopoda (phylum mollusca)
Examples and traits
Class Cephalopoda consists of squids, octopi, nautilus and cuttlefish. Their anatomy includes an internal mantle, highly evolved image forming eyes, a closed circulatory system and chromatophores for changing color. The chromatophores allow the organism to change the color of their skin in order to blend in to their surroundings and camouflage against the environment. They are also the most intelligent invertebrates, with well developed brains that have surprising problem solving skills.
